Eurazeo has opened its first office in the Middle East at Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), establishing a permanent presence in Abu Dhabi as the European investment group deepens its relationships with investors across the Gulf.
The move gives Eurazeo a local base in one of the region’s most active financial centres. The company manages around €40 billion in assets and has been building relationships with Middle Eastern investors for more than a decade.
For Abu Dhabi, the arrival of another major European investment firm adds to the growing concentration of international asset managers operating from ADGM. For Eurazeo, the new office brings its investment team closer to sovereign institutions, family offices and other investors looking for opportunities across global private markets.
Eurazeo Establishes Its First Middle East Office in ADGM
The decision to establish the office in Abu Dhabi reflects Eurazeo’s intention to make the Middle East a more direct part of its international investment and investor-relations strategy. Rather than managing its Gulf relationships entirely from Europe, the company will now have a team operating from the region itself.
The Abu Dhabi office will serve as Eurazeo’s regional hub. Adrien Pinelli, Managing Director within Eurazeo’s Investor Relations team, will lead the office, while the company’s wider Investor Relations function is headed by Mathieu Teisseire.
Eurazeo has developed relationships with sovereign institutions, family offices and institutional investors across the Gulf over many years. Establishing a physical presence in Abu Dhabi gives those relationships a more permanent base and creates greater opportunities for direct engagement.
Gulf Investors Are Looking for More European Opportunities
The expansion comes as investors in the Gulf continue to examine international markets as part of their broader diversification strategies. Europe remains an important destination for institutional and private capital, particularly in areas where established companies are seeking funding for expansion and transformation.
Eurazeo sees an opportunity in this connection between Gulf capital and European businesses. The group invests across private equity, private debt and real assets, giving it several channels through which Middle Eastern investors can gain exposure to European private markets.
The company reported approximately €40 billion in assets under management as of June 30, 2026, including around €31 billion managed on behalf of third-party investors. Its scale gives the Abu Dhabi operation access to a sizeable investment platform as the company develops its regional relationships.
Abu Dhabi Strengthens Its Role as a Gateway Between Gulf and European Capital
Abu Dhabi has increasingly positioned itself as a meeting point for international capital and the wider Gulf investment market. ADGM provides global financial firms with a regulated platform from which they can work with investors and businesses across the region.
That positioning is particularly relevant to Eurazeo because its strategy depends on long-term relationships with institutional investors and capital providers. Being based in Abu Dhabi allows the firm to engage with those investors closer to their home market while continuing to connect them with its European investment activities.
Eurazeo’s Co-CEOs, Christophe Bavière and William Kadouch-Chassaing, described the Gulf as increasingly important to the group’s strategy. The company also sees its regional presence as a way to support portfolio companies looking at opportunities in the Middle East.
ADGM Continues to Attract International Investment Firms
Eurazeo’s arrival adds another international asset manager to ADGM’s expanding financial-services community. The financial centre has spent years developing Abu Dhabi as a location for global banks, investment managers, private equity firms, family offices and other financial institutions.
The growth matters because international firms do more than occupy office space. Their presence can create new links between global investors and businesses operating in the UAE and the wider region. It also gives local investors greater access to international investment platforms without having to rely entirely on relationships managed from overseas offices.
Arvind Ramamurthy, Chief Market Development Officer of ADGM, welcomed Eurazeo’s decision, describing the establishment of the office as a sign of confidence in Abu Dhabi’s investment environment and its long-term growth prospects.
Eurazeo Adds Another Global Name to Abu Dhabi’s Financial Ecosystem
Eurazeo brings a sizeable international investment platform to Abu Dhabi. The company operates across private equity, private debt and real assets and has built a portfolio spanning multiple industries and markets.
Its Abu Dhabi presence therefore goes beyond a simple regional expansion. The office gives Eurazeo a local platform from which it can develop investor relationships, identify new opportunities and support companies within its portfolio that are interested in the Middle East.
That could create opportunities in both directions. Gulf investors can gain closer access to Eurazeo’s European private-market activities, while European companies backed by the group may find new commercial and investment connections in the UAE and wider Gulf.
Abu Dhabi Office Signals Longer-Term Commitment to the UAE
Eurazeo’s decision to establish a permanent office suggests that the company sees the Middle East as more than a market to visit periodically. A local team creates the infrastructure needed to build relationships over time, particularly in a region where institutional investment often depends on long-term engagement.
For Abu Dhabi, the move fits the emirate’s broader effort to attract international financial expertise and connect global capital with the UAE economy. ADGM has become an important part of that strategy, giving investment firms a platform for regional operations while placing them close to some of the world’s largest pools of institutional capital.
The result is a potentially useful connection between Abu Dhabi’s growing financial ecosystem and Europe’s private markets. Eurazeo wants closer access to Gulf investors. Abu Dhabi wants more international investment expertise. Its new ADGM office puts those interests in the same financial centre.
