Fujairah Terminals Sign Three Key Land Leases
In particular, Fujairah Terminals, a company that is part of AD Ports Group, recently signed three strategically important land lease agreements with three key stakeholders. Namely, Fujairah International Airport, Fujairah Free Zone Authority and Al Dahra Agriculture Trading were involved in these deals.
The total area of the leased land is about 130,000 square meters. This deal will enable the company to develop its logistical capabilities in terms of providing better transportation solutions and facilitating the flow of goods.
Fujairah Free Zone Becomes Increasingly Attractive for Businesses
Fujairah Free Zone is becoming increasingly important as a free zone for businesses willing to access both regional and global markets. Given that the zone is adjacent to Fujairah Port and Fujairah International Airport, it provides great transportation opportunities for companies.

In addition to developing alternative free zones, the UAE has started using alternative trade corridors. Speaking at a news conference, Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister for Foreign Trade, explained what measures the government has taken.
Among them are: utilization of alternative trade corridors through eastern ports, such as Fujairah and Khorfakkan; opening of air freight bridges for the fast delivery of pharmaceutical products and perishable food products. Also included are creation of the Green Corridor with Oman and establishment of the Sharjah-Dammam trade bridge.
Expansion of Ports Facilitates Business in Eastern UAE
Moreover, AD Ports Group signed an agreement with Borouge with the aim of increasing the export and industrial resilience. Within the framework of this agreement, both parties agreed to assess the possibility of building an alternative international export hub in the eastern regions of the UAE.
This hub is intended to increase the continuity of Borouge’s operations by reducing dependency on maritime routes that may be limited. The parties can also discuss the establishment of a dedicated infrastructure for polyolefinics and other products. In addition, they can consider new shipping routes via Fujairah Terminals and other UAE ports.
