Innovation City Partners with OneLink Solutions to Expand UAE Free Zone Reach in Europe

Innovation City has taken another step outside the UAE, signing a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with OneLink Solutions as it looks to bring more international founders and companies into Ras Al Khaimah. This Innovation City OneLink Solutions partnership marks a significant development in expanding their global reach.

The agreement gives Innovation City a stronger route into European markets rather than simply extending its visibility overseas. OneLink Solutions will represent the free zone in London and Bucharest, putting it closer to entrepreneurs, investors and businesses considering the UAE as their next market.

Under the partnership, OneLink Solutions will act as an international representative partner for Innovation City in the United Kingdom and Romania.

London and Bucharest give the free zone two quite different entry points into Europe. More importantly, the arrangement creates a local connection for businesses that may be interested in the UAE but are still figuring out where to establish, how the process works and what support they will need once they arrive.

The MoU was formally signed at Innovation City Free Zone in Ras Al Khaimah.

More Than Overseas Promotion

There is a practical side to the agreement.

OneLink Solutions is expected to support international companies across company formation, corporate structuring, banking assistance, visa matters and ongoing business requirements. That puts the partnership closer to an expansion and market-entry channel than a conventional overseas marketing arrangement.

For a founder sitting in Europe and looking at the UAE, those details matter. Getting a licence is one part of establishing a company. Banking, visas, corporate structure and navigating local requirements can quickly become the bigger concern.

Having support available before and during the move could make Ras Al Khaimah a more approachable option for businesses that have not previously operated in the Emirates.

Ras Al Khaimah Targets the Next Wave of Technology Companies

Innovation City is positioned as a technology and innovation-focused free zone in Ras Al Khaimah. Its target market stretches across emerging and digital industries, including artificial intelligence, Web3, gaming, robotics and HealthTech.

It also caters to a broader range of digital businesses, consultants, media companies, e-commerce ventures and other innovation-led organisations seeking a UAE base.

That mix is important. International companies entering the UAE are increasingly looking beyond the traditional question of where they can obtain a business licence. Ecosystem, banking access, international connectivity and the ability to grow from the UAE into other markets have become part of the decision.

Innovation City’s latest partnership appears designed around exactly that shift.

A Global Platform Starting From Ras Al Khaimah

Innovation City CEO Paul Dawalibi described the strategy as going beyond the creation of another free zone, with the organisation seeking to build a global platform for future-focused companies.

The European expansion fits neatly into that idea.

Instead of expecting every prospective investor to discover Ras Al Khaimah from inside the UAE, Innovation City is putting representation closer to the markets where those companies already operate.

OneLink Solutions founder Stefan Loredan similarly positioned the partnership around making the UAE easier for international entrepreneurs to access, combining overseas representation with local knowledge and business support.

Why the Partnership Matters for the UAE Free Zone Market

Competition among UAE free zones is no longer limited to licence packages and setup costs.

International reach is becoming part of the equation.

Founders comparing jurisdictions want to know what happens after incorporation: whether there is useful business support, whether they can access professional services and how easily their UAE company can become part of a wider international operation.

Innovation City’s decision to establish representation in London and Bucharest suggests Ras Al Khaimah is pushing harder for that internationally mobile group of founders and investors.

It also gives Innovation City a way to build relationships with potential clients before they reach the UAE.

That could prove particularly useful in technology. AI, Web3, software, gaming and other digital companies are often location-flexible from the beginning. The free zone that reaches those founders early — and makes the move straightforward — has a better chance of becoming their regional base.

Innovation City’s International Network Is Taking Shape

The OneLink Solutions agreement forms part of a broader strategy to develop an international network of trusted partners around Innovation City.

The immediate focus is London and Bucharest. The bigger story is what follows.

If that partner model expands into additional startup and investment markets, Innovation City could build an overseas pipeline feeding companies directly into Ras Al Khaimah rather than relying primarily on businesses already searching for UAE free zones.

For Ras Al Khaimah, that means another route to attract international investment and emerging technology businesses. For overseas founders, it puts another UAE jurisdiction firmly on the map when deciding where to establish their next company.
