Dubai Safari Park Counts Down to Season 8 Ahead of October Mid-Term Break

Dubai Safari Park is preparing to open its eighth season on 12 October 2026, just as families across Dubai head into the school mid-term break.

The park will mark the reopening with a seven-day “Wildest Opening Week” from 12 to 18 October, combining wildlife encounters, children’s activities, creative workshops, photography opportunities and entertainment.

The seasonal reopening gives Dubai another major family attraction for the October calendar while putting wildlife experiences and conservation back in the spotlight.

Dubai Safari Park Season 8 Opens on October 12

The eighth season will open under the theme “Live More Wild Life,” with the park continuing to combine wildlife encounters with educational and entertainment experiences. The reopening has been timed around the school mid-term break, giving families an immediate reason to include the attraction in their holiday plans.

Dubai Safari Park spans 119 hectares and provides visitors with access to different wildlife environments, safari tours and animal presentations. The park is home to more than 3,000 animals representing 300 species, making the seasonal opening more than a standard leisure event.

Wildest Opening Week Targets Families

The first seven days of the new season will feature a special programme designed around families and younger visitors. From 12 to 18 October, the “Wildest Opening Week” will introduce activities that go beyond the park’s regular wildlife experiences.

Children can visit the Little Explorers’ Base Camp, where the programme includes safari-themed face painting, clay modelling, arts and crafts, lawn games and safari-inspired inflatables. Photography activities and personalised keepsakes will also form part of the opening-week programme, giving families several ways to spend time at the park between animal encounters.

Safari Tours Remain a Major Draw

Wildlife remains the main reason Dubai Safari Park attracts visitors, and the eighth season will continue to build its visitor experience around safari tours and close encounters with animals.

The Arabian Desert Safari is included with park admission, while visitors can choose the Safari Bundle to access the Explorer Safari Tour. The experience takes guests through larger animal environments where they can see species including lions, giraffes and rhinos.

The format gives visitors something closer to a safari experience than a conventional zoo visit, while guided encounters add an educational element to the trip.

Premium Experiences Add More Ways to Explore

Dubai Safari Park is also offering visitors several premium experiences for those who want a more specialised visit. These experiences are aimed at guests looking for additional access, more personal encounters or a different way to explore the park.

Options include King of Safari, Behind the Scenes, Dine in the Wild and Jungle Capture. Depending on the selected experience, visitors can take part in private tours, explore areas not included in standard visits or dine closer to the park’s wildlife environments.

The premium line-up also gives returning visitors a reason to experience the attraction differently during the new season.

Live Animal Shows Bring Conservation Closer

Animal presentations remain another important part of the Dubai Safari Park experience, with the Season 8 programme continuing to combine entertainment with information about wildlife.

The park’s live shows include Birds Kingdom, Echoes of the Wild and Birds of Prey. These presentations give visitors opportunities to observe animal behaviour while learning more about the species and the importance of conservation.

For families, the shows also add a more structured element to the visit, particularly for children who may be encountering some of these animals for the first time.

Dubai Safari Park Strengthens Its Conservation Role

Behind the visitor experience, Dubai Safari Park has been developing a broader role in wildlife conservation, research and animal welfare. Its large site allows the park to maintain different habitats while supporting programmes that extend beyond tourism.

The park participates in international research and breeding programmes and supports animal rescue missions. In April 2026, Dubai Safari Park also became an institutional member of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA), connecting it with a wider international network focused on conservation, animal welfare and zoological standards.

That work gives the seasonal reopening another dimension. Visitors are not simply entering a leisure attraction; they are entering a facility that increasingly links tourism with conservation.

Season 8 Adds Another Family Attraction to Dubai’s Autumn Calendar

The timing of the reopening could work strongly in the park’s favour. Dubai’s October calendar is already picking up as temperatures become more manageable, while the school mid-term break creates additional demand for family activities.

Dubai Safari Park is responding with a mix of wildlife, entertainment and educational experiences rather than relying on a single attraction. Families can spend time at the children’s activity areas, join safari tours, watch live animal presentations or choose one of the park’s premium experiences.

Dubai Safari Park Season 8 opens on 12 October 2026, with the Wildest Opening Week running until 18 October.
