DMCC Vietnam Webinar Targets Businesses Looking to Expand Through Dubai

DMCC Vietnam webinar 2026

Dubai’s DMCC is turning its attention to Vietnam.

On August 13, the business district will host “Made For Trade Live – Vietnam in Focus,” an online session aimed at Vietnamese companies, entrepreneurs and executives considering Dubai as a base for international expansion.

The timing is interesting. Vietnamese businesses are becoming increasingly global, while Dubai continues to pitch itself as something more than a regional headquarters. DMCC wants companies to see it as a launchpad.

The DMCC Vietnam webinar 2026 takes place online at 2:00 PM Vietnam Standard Time on August 13, 2026, which corresponds to 11:00 AM Gulf Standard Time. Registration details include access to the session through Zoom.

Vietnam Meets Dubai’s Business Ecosystem

The event is being organised by DMCC in partnership with the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the United Arab Emirates and the Vietnamese Business Council.

Its message is fairly direct: companies looking beyond Vietnam should take a serious look at Dubai.

DMCC plans to cover access to international markets, Dubai’s location between major Asian, European and African economies, its business environment and the infrastructure available to companies operating from the emirate.

This isn’t only a presentation about opening an office.

The webinar is also expected to walk attendees through the actual company establishment process, DMCC membership benefits and examples of businesses that have used Dubai as a platform for international growth.

Technology Is Quietly Part of the Conversation

The webinar isn’t marketed as an AI event. Still, technology sits surprisingly close to the centre of the discussion.

One of the speakers is Harry Nguyen, Chairman of the Vietnamese Business Council in the UAE and former Managing Director of FPT Software Middle East and Africa. His background covers technology, digital transformation and cross-border business development.

DMCC says Nguyen has worked with companies across the UAE and Gulf region on digital transformation initiatives and now plays a role in strengthening commercial links between Vietnam and the Middle East.

That matters as Vietnamese technology companies increasingly look outside their home market.

Dubai has spent years building ecosystems around software, emerging technology, commodities, finance and international trade. For a Vietnamese tech firm deciding where to establish its Middle East presence, the webinar gives DMCC a chance to make its case directly.

Energy, EVs and Smart Infrastructure Enter the Mix

Another speaker brings a different piece of the Vietnam–Middle East story.

Hien Ta, VP International Market and CEO of GG Power MENA FZCO, works in battery energy storage systems and has previously led VinFast operations in the Middle East and Brazil.

His current work involves expanding Vietnamese energy-storage technology across the Middle East and North Africa while helping develop commercial links between Vietnamese and Arab businesses.

It makes the session broader than the usual “how to set up a company in Dubai” webinar.

Vietnam’s growing EV, energy, manufacturing and technology sectors are exactly the kinds of industries that increasingly need international operating bases. Dubai clearly wants a piece of that expansion.

Who Is Speaking at the DMCC Vietnam Webinar?

DMCC Senior Director of Corporate Sales and Business Development Khalid Sharaf will deliver the welcome remarks.

He will be joined by H.E. Nguyen Thanh Diep, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to the UAE, who is scheduled to provide leadership insights.

DMCC Senior Manager for Corporate Sales Bassel Bitar will discuss planning international growth through DMCC.

Harry Nguyen and Hien Ta bring the Vietnamese business and technology perspective to the event, giving the discussion considerably more practical relevance for companies already thinking about Gulf expansion.

What Businesses Can Expect

DMCC says the webinar will cover the step-by-step process of establishing a company in Dubai, member benefits, international expansion stories and market insights spanning trade, technology and commodities.

Networking with business specialists and industry peers is also part of the programme.

For companies already researching the UAE, much of that may sound familiar.

The more useful part could be the Vietnam-specific perspective. Opening a foreign entity isn’t only about licensing costs or tax structures. Companies need customers, banking relationships, local networks, talent and a realistic route into nearby markets.

Those are harder questions.

And they’re ultimately the ones that determine whether an overseas expansion works.

Dubai Is Making a Direct Pitch to Vietnamese Companies

DMCC regularly runs its Made For Trade programme across international markets, but the Vietnam-focused session underlines a wider shift.

Business ties between Southeast Asia and the Gulf are becoming harder to ignore.

Technology firms, manufacturers, energy companies and digital businesses that once looked almost automatically toward Singapore, Europe or North America for international expansion now have another option competing for attention.

Dubai wants to be that option.

The August 13 webinar won’t settle that decision for Vietnamese founders or executives. It may, however, give them a clearer picture of what setting up inside one of Dubai’s largest business districts actually involves.

And for DMCC, getting those companies to seriously consider Dubai is probably the point.
